Coffee Time Meeting Minutes – 11th March 2009

Open/ Welcome: Tarnia welcomed the new people joining us. Explained coffee time is for small business owners to meet over a coffee and say hi.

Apologises: John Mann, Steve Killian, David Norris Alan Jones, Angela Anthony, Tony Bourke, Rae Phillips, and Christie Flippence.

Janice Munroe: Heavenly Candles
Been offered 2 days a week Part time Real Estate work at Bateau Bay. The Wyong Holiday Parks have come on board and have purchased candles for all of their holiday units.


Ian Grantham: Paper Poort. Launching paper bags on the central coast. Advertising $195.80 for 45000 ads goes to all shops for use.


Ian Kingwill: Paper Poort. Displayed the bags, now in SA and QLD, First run on coast will be in May 2009.


Anthony Radnidge: Letter Box distribution. Works at Community First Bank and lives locally. Gets out and distributes flyers in the mornings and afternoons. Only small and does letterbox delivery over a week or so.


Craig Morgan: Eventu8 - Promotions & Events. Launching Central Coast Rewards Card. Encourages locals to shop locally.


Craig Giles: Centrum Printing. Printing jobs large or small. DL flyers, Catalogues, books


Tarnia Gurney: Gurney Financial Services - rovides individuals, families and small business with insurance and superannuation solutions
Planningwerx4U - Asisting small businesses set up


Toni Oliver: Conveyancer. Assisting clients in buying and selling of properties. Both in commercial and residential.


Nicki Mann: A Dozen Roses. Specialise in roses. Purchase direct from the grower.
Either order on line, at the door, over the phone, and delivered/pickup.


Kate Morris: Joyful Healing and Wellness. Specialising in Bowen Therapy, Reiki, Ear Candling, Hot Stone Massage. $20 for 20 minute special this month


Thomas Heron: Heron Solutions. It Support since 1997. Assisting small business in all aspects of computers and servicing. Fixed price solutions with a regular maintenance solution. Design systems for small business for the long term, build website, hosting, email maintenance, Protection software. Hard and software solutions.



Dean Brown: Woodview Home Loans & Finance . Win – Hinterland has added him to the back of their packs. 1000 will be given out to their clients. Assist individuals and families with home loans.


Ted O’Shannessy: Send Out Cards. Distribution and Networking business – greeting cards. Select your card, type your message, click, they print, pack and post it. Teaching others how to be come senders of cards


Bob Thomson: Bob T Photography. training and photography. Running small courses on the coast teaching others how to take photos.


Kathleen Crumblin: Spirit Art. Art Teacher, who is going to run workshops to teach people how to paint/draw etc. Creative art work through interpretations. Showed all her works and described how works. She talks to someone and works on their energy and draws a picture, then interprets it into written understanding for clients. Spirit Art – is where complete a initial meeting, draw a picture and then interpret for the client. All drawings laminated and an explanation provided.


Deb & Charlie Rayner: Endota Spa. Endota Spa is up for sale. They will be moving back to Melbourne to be closer to family and friends.


Kelly Booth: Booth Learning and Development. Booked up in Hornsby, still looking for a few more clients on the coast. Assisting children and adults with their learning difficulties.


Kevin Gregory: Landin /Zenith Business Centre


Networking: Wyong Chamber of Commerce networking night tonight at 6.30pm for those attending

Kate: Deb & Charlie at Endota – Thanks for giving Kate some hours work at Endota the other week. Bob Thomson – thanks for organising the photo shoot for my daughter. Tarnia Gurney – Thanks for organising coffee time.


Craig Giles: Thanks to Tarnia for the referral to B2B, Centrum printing will be printing the new run of B2B books. Thanks to Bob Thomson for the photography course my wife and I did it was fantastic. Win – we signed off on a printing run for the Mariners


Kellie Booth: Thanks to Tarnia for the support and assistance in building my website.


Craig Morgan: Thanks to Nicki and Kate for inviting me to Coffee Time.


Ted O’Shannessy: Wins – Our open day on Sunday went ok. Toni, Dean, Tarnia and Ted. Gave out about 50 bags to people visiting the complex. We have some ideas for next time. Thanks to Craig Giles for printing our flyers.


Janice Munroe: Win: Went to the Westpac Helicopter High Tea on Sunday and she provided all the candles for the tables.


Kate Morris: Girls Night in – October 09 – looking for people to donate prizes. Expecting 200 – 250 people. Janice suggested Kate put together an email and flyer and send out and we can all send out aswell.



Tarnia Gurney: Sydney Women’s Network – Luncheon on the 28th May at Wallarah Bay $40. Went to the luncheon last week and met 2 new clients.


Kevin Gregory: Thanks to Tarnia for the referral for the Sydney Company who is looking to relocate to Central Coast.



Tarnia is very appreciative of all the kind words today and thanks everyone for their support and friendship.


Tarnia is away for the next meeting and Tony Bourke will be running it. Start time is 10.30am on the 25th March. Please be here 5 minutes or so before to start on time.
