Coffee Time – Meeting Minutes – 11.2.09

Welcome:
Tarnia welcomed everyone along, for the new people, explained who we are? What is coffee time, growing each fortnight? More people are referring us on. Thanks. Coffee Time is for small business owners to get out of their home offices/offices and met other, build relationships and has a coffee and chat.

Wins:
Dean – got more referrals
Tony – On SKY Business – this was good. 2 books to come out – first one in March 09 called In Service, second is risk your business, rick your life, due out in July
Kate – will be hot stoning SEAFM’s Iggy next Wednesday live on radio at 6.30am.
Kelly - has just resigned from both of her casual jobs. Working fulltime for her. Moved into the incubator at Ourimbah.
Rae – has 3 new clients on the coast.
Bob – held his first workshop on Saturday at Zenith, Catering from Kevin and staff was great.

Coffee Time has now a Blog. I have put up our agendas and meeting minutes.

Has clients in Hornsby, but needs more clients on the coast.
Advertising ideas provided to Kellie– to go to doctors, preschools, chiro’s/ Naturopaths, Paediatricians, Schools, Tuggerah Community College.

Rae: Inspire Success

helping business owners, senior managers, helping relationship systems/staffing

Promoting herself as staffing solutions

Toni: Toni Oliver Conveyancing
Very busy. Lots of new home buyers around. Government grants/FHB.
Working very long hrs, early mornings & late nights.

Ted: Debt Mastery
Financial literacy courses through community colleges and Break Thru employment centres. Has franchised this, and looking to on sell it to others to utilize.

Angela: Angela Anthony Solicitors
Specialising in Family Law, Probate, Wills, POA’s, litigation, conveyancing, very busy – 18 month on own. Needs to put on a casual person. We all provided contacts for her in relation to this.

Bob: Bob Thomson Photography
Workshops and seminars started. He is selling tools/training on how people use their new cameras.
Volunteering for work – interview next week. Looking for casual work.

Tarnia: Gurney Financial Services
GFS seems to be picking up. 3 completions over last fortnight, still working with my 11 families from Oct onwards, just waiting for them to go over to the next stage. At the moment I am specializing in consolidating superannuation policies for people, and putting in place basic insurance to cover the mortgage.

Tarnia: Planningwerx4U
PW4U on the internet. Haven’t promoted as yet, will do over coming networking nights.

Tony: AIIB Insurance
Clients in Sydney, Newcastle, Central Coast and going Australia wide.
Business insurance – PI, PL, Workers Comp, protects businesses.

Kate: Joyful Wellness & Healing
Getting Iggy from SeaFM stoned next Wednesday – hot stone massage.
Picked up 2 new clients for this week.
Looking for some casual work
Organising Girls Night In – October 23rd. Fund Raiser for Breast Cancer Foundation. Looking for donations

Dean: Woodview Finance & Home Loans
Business picking up, lots of First Home Buyers out there, and lots of people refinancing. Very busy at the moment. If anyone needs to refinance or get a mortgage contact Dean and he will help.

Open Discussion:
Ted – remember it’s not the leads you get it’s the exposure
Dean – maybe look at radio advertising and contact them. Cheaper advertising late at night, also look at others ABC,
Tarnia - maybe Rhema
General discussion– advertising – market one area, not everyone and everywhere. Keeps your budget down and helps you have more control.
