What is Coffee time: Coffee Time has been created by planningwerx4U to assist local small business owners get together and meet others, network and discuss the issues faced in business today. Small business owners can learn more about how to run their businesses through open discussions and meetings. There is a variety of small business owners attending Coffee Time, who bring with them a wealth of knowledge in business.

Why & How?? Coffee Time was created to work together with other small business owners to assist them in meeting others business owners and discussing issues that each business face. After many discussions with new and local small business owners, Tarnia Gurney noticed that there were some gaps in the system that some business owners were falling through. Coffee Time aims to put business owners back in control of their businesses and their lives and put them in touch with people who can assist them.

When & Where? Coffee time has been organised at Tuggerah’s Zenith Centre. Coffee Time meet at 10.30am on the 2nd & 4th Wednesdays of the month. Anyone who is thinking of starting their own business or who currently runs their own business is invited to join other like minded people to have a coffee and a chat — no pressure. These gatherings are a great way to network and build relationships.

So my thoughts are, we all come along. Have a chat and meet people and then we can sit down and have a little meeting. Share some ideas and questions.

Tony Bourke Mentioned us all talking about what we do and what are our challenges.

Ideas and thoughts provided by all:

Lots of advertising and marketing ideas put forward. Suggestions for marketing and advertising:

Flyers into local businesses
Flyers into homes
Advertising in Newspapers, business booklets,
Creation of newsletters
Creation of packs to go out to the area – child care or businesses

Different ideas offered to:
o Bob to take photos of the Hot Rods and Cars this weekend at the Beachcomber, leave a flyer with the owner to say I have taken a photo, call me if you wish to purchase the photos.
o Deb to be seen around more – maybe more flyers to businesses or local homes.
o Dean to get more up on his website, put together a 10 traps and tips for his clientele, get onto Google, put together a info sheet for the open homes
o Kevin/Jo – to get more advertising around for the Café. Maybe opening after hrs, putting flyers out in the business park. Free coffee card. Luncheon packs, Getting businesses to email their orders through of a morning and then delivering them to the clients. Advertising Christmas parties or drinks for the area.

What people in this group can offer each other is support, ideas and friendship.

Some feedback forms were handed out at the end for people to complete and send back. This information will be past back to everyone.

Thanks for coming along.

Tarnia
