Coffee Time Minutes - 14/10/09

Welcome:

Good Morning to you all and thanks for coming along.

Who we are:

Coffee Time is a group where you can meet others in business and build relationships. We meet on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of the month. Here at the Zenith Centre.

Kate – nominated for the Business Women’s Connect awards.

Tarnia – has been nominated for the Wyong Chamber of Commerce awards, Express Advocate Business Awards, and the Wyong Shire Council Community awards.

Update on:

Girls Night in – Tuggerah – went well, about 100 people turned up. So far, accounted for about $5,300 in donations. Good night had by all. Gift bags still for sale, $30 each, and have offers and gifts inside valued at over $400.

Find My Local:

Business is owned by Michael. Michael is setting up an online find my local website. It is only for the NSW Central Coast. It is only new and is in the building stage at the moment. Once they have some businesses on there, they will publish on line. It will have your business details, logos, pictures for your business, contact details including address, phone numbers, website and email, Google map of business location, information about your business – exactly what you do. This Weeks presentation is from Tony Bourke Regarding Goals and Goal Setting.

Who has a goal or goals?
Who has written them down?
Who carries them around with them?
2% of people write down their goals
You need to write down what you really want
80% of people who wrote down their goals, and put them in their wallet, had completed those goals.

Brian Tracy – talks about goal setting, have a look at his books.

Step 1: What do you want? Be specific – How much money, How many clients, etc. write it down.

Step 2: See and Feel the goal completed in your imagination! How does it look and feel in your mind as the completed goal? Describe below.

Step 3: Action - what is the first step. E.g.: contact someone, read a book, find someone who has done what you want to do, etc.
